Welcome to Computer Buddies at Inspired Taskforce!
 

At Computer Buddies, we understand that navigating the world of technology can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially as technology continues to evolve. That's why we're here to help you every step of the way, whether you're purchasing your first device or looking to enhance your digital skills.
 

Located at Levenshulme Inspire in Levenshulme, Manchester, our sessions are designed specifically for individuals aged 50 and upwards. Our session is every Friday, starting at 1pm until 3pm This is a drop-in service, so feel free to turn up and leave whenever you please.
 

For just £3 per session, you'll have access to invaluable support and guidance from Paul and James, as well our team of volunteers. Plus, enjoy complimentary refreshments throughout your stay.
 

Our sessions are tailored to your individual pace of learning and interests, ensuring a comfortable and supportive environment for everyone. Whether you're a complete beginner or a more advanced user, you'll find a welcoming community ready to assist you on your digital journey.
 

Laptops are provided during sessions, or feel free to bring your own device if you prefer. Don't let technology intimidate you – join us at Computer Buddies and embark on a rewarding learning experience. We look forward to seeing you there!

Supported by volunteers, the sessions move at your pace of learning and follow your interests.

So if you want to learn how to 'ZOOM or SKYPE', order shopping online and much more this is the session to attend.

What is Digital Inclusion?

​

Digital Inclusion is access to the world of technology! -  We can provide remote assistance over telephone/email or can meet in person (with correct social distance measures in place) to help teach anything from using zoom to using a new laptop.

​

We have taught and helped many people in the Levenshulme area and beyond with services such as:

​

  • Purchasing a new phone, tablet or laptop/computer

  • Setting up digital assistants (Alexa, Google Home etc..)

  • Setting up mobile data packages and home broadband set-ups

  • Teaching how to use Microsoft office products such as word, Excel and more

  • Teaching how to access social media websites/Apps such as Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Twitter

  • Teaching how to access “On-the-go” entertainment from playing videos to playing games, Reading books to reading news articles.

  • Teaching how to access day to day services by using your phone! Such as mobile banking, online food shopping, GP appointments and Electric and gas utility services.

  • Connecting family and friends through instant messaging applications and video phone calling such as Zoom and Skype.

  • And much more…
