ABOUT SUNDAY LUNCHES
We know that Sunday can be the loneliest day of the week — so we started meeting for home-cooked roast dinners. It's a wonderful opportunity to come together, enjoy delicious food at a low cost, and connect with one another in a warm, welcoming environment.
Why we started this
For a lot of people, Sundays used to mean family roast dinners around a busy table. As families grow up and move away, that table can suddenly feel very empty. Sunday Lunches exist to fill that gap — same warm food, same sense of occasion, just a bigger table and more friendly faces.
Our journey so far
We started Sunday Lunches back in February 2023 at 422 Community Hub. Since 2025, we have hired a new venue: Levenshulme Inspire. What began as a small gathering of 8 people has grown into a table of up to 40 people, and it keeps growing!

All of our over 50’s activities are located in South Manchester, Levenshulme, Longsight, Gorton and are easily accessible by bus. Our activities are created by older people, for older people.
